Merry Christmas and Happy New Year - 2009

Rachel's piano recital at Morris Hill Center

Dec 19, 2009
This year ShinWen had her students recital at Morris Hill Center. It was a good idea to show our care to those seniors.

Fashion Show

Dec 16, 2009
It has been so cold as low as 30 degree since last week. Kylie and I were basically home all day without even going out for a walk. We both enjoy outside walking for a chace to get a fresh air. Well, I got an idea to have a fashion show for her. Oh boy, it was very hard to take pictures at the same time to make her laugh. When I had everything all set she started changing faces or rolled away. By the time I finished I was all sweat and exhausted.

Who is in the laundry basket?

Dec 16, 2009
I was going to laundry clothes but found a baby inside the basket. Holly cow...

Our new basement

This is our new basement. It has become a great play room for everyone.

Rachel's Winter Concert

Dec 9, 2009
Rachel's first winter concert at Troy Hills. Doris came to pick me up so I didn't have to worry about parking or raining issues. Rachel is learning clarinet but I am hardly hearing her practice at home. The music education is important through out the life time and I like what school has provided for kids so they have opportunity to learn instrument or sing together.

Christmas is coming

Dec 9, 2009
I have finally done with my Christmas shopping and have the tree and decoration setup inside and outside the house. Kylie is ready for her first Christmas.

High chair

Dec 7, 2009
Kylie got a new toy - high chair. She is going to have meal at the same place. The funny thing was when we tried to put her on the first time, she refused to seat on it by twix her body. She seemed to know that it was not a fun place to be with. Kylie is on solid food at least twice a day. She didn't like poriage that much and no matter what was inside. Since I have made some dumplings, I cooked one for her and had her try it. She ate the whole piece. I had her try the second day, third, forth...., she liked dumplings. Ok, I think I am going to skip baby food from now on and provide her food that we usually have. Gee, she wants to grow up fast.

Kylie loves water

Nov 18, 2009
Kylie loves to take a bath. She always plays with water by kicking her two legs or hands. She doesn't seem to be tired of doing it. Rachel and Alex will sometimes fight for who gets a chance to take a bath with Kylie. They are also enjoying watching her play in the water. Soon I will take her to the pool.

3 birthday babies

Nov 7, 2009
We had a dumpling party in my house. I had fun of making dumplings with whole bunch talented women. Too bad no one took pictures of the busy scene. It was Amy's 40 year-old birthday. Serina and I were born in the same day so we celebrated it with Amy. It is a new milestone to be a 40ner. Like me, had a new baby. Hope it comes slow to get to 50s.

My birthday

Oct 31, 2009
It was Halloween and also my birthday celebration day. Everybody was waiting for me to cut the cake. Spencer cooked some delicious dinner for us so I had hardly any room left for desert. Kylie tried her first little bite of cake which was given by uncle. She loved it and tried to ask for more. It was a raining day but it didn't stop kids coming out to ask for candies. Our door bell finally stopped ringing around 9:00pm.

Halloween - trick or treat! Like my costume?

On October 31st-Halloween, Kylie tried on her first costume---a baseball. She didn't really like it because it was too hot and uncomfortable. Anyway, we all thought it was cute.

Alex's birthday - He turned 12

Oct 28, 2009

Do you know how to make Kylie laugh?

Oct 18, 2009

Kylie loves her sister and brother. She may giggle or laugh for no reason but full with joy as soon as she sees them.

Rachel and Kylie

Oct 15, 2009
The sweater that Kylie wore was from Hua-En's grandmom. She had knitted many types of sweater for her grand kids. All sweaters have been passed to Fei Fei and mine kids. The weather becomes cold so quick that I have to bundle up Kylie with warm clothes.

Pumpkin face

Oct 14, 2009
Daddy took lots of pictures of Kylie when she was acompanied by a pumpkin lamp which was made by Rachel. This shot was outstanding because we believed she wanted to match a pumpkin face.

See how long my eyelash is

Rachel's 10 years old birthday

Oct 6, 2009
Rachel is 10. Time flies. She got her ear pierced. Lovely. Do you like her cake?

唱臉谱 - Chinese moon festival on senior center

Oct 5, 2009

Yvonne's birthday plus Chinese moon festival - Oct 3

The cake was from a Korean bakery and it was delicious. It has red bean in it. It was gone in seconds.

Mama mia, help! I am stuck...

Sep 22, 2009. Look at her. Do you know what was she doing? She tried to get off the swing. After sitting for too long, she got tired of it. She wanted freedom.

Outdoor fun

Sept 24, 2009
Kylie loves to sit on the swing. She giggles when you push her high.

Trampoline

Sept 19, 2009
Trampoline has brought lots of fun to the family. Once you step on it, you can jump anywhere you want. You can jump rope on it or play balls on it. You can also lay on it and enjoy the beautiful weather.

The first day of Rachel's 4th grade - at the bus stop

Sept 10, 2009
Time flies. Rachel is going to be a 4th grader this year. I still remember the first day of kindergarden I waved her from the bus stop. Hope she enjoys her school and make some new friends.

Play date

Sept 9, 2009 Rachel and her friend Natalie. Natlie is also entering 4th grade as Rachel but goes to different school.

The first day of the middle school - orientation day

Sept 8, 2009 At the bus stop
I can't believe that Alex is going to the middle school. He goes to school early now. The bus comes around 7:30. The environment in the middle school is entirely different than elementary school. It gives kids more freedom and make them take more responsibility. Alex has already showed me how happy he is to be in school everyday. I will continue to pray for him.

Story time

Rachel has created an in-house library. She is the author for all the books. She really is a business person for operating her library with other going on exciting activities. Daddy was reading a baby book for Kylie. The author, of course, is Rachel. Sept 8.

BBQ at Carol and Jay's house
