Delaware Ferry

July 12, 2009
The 17-mile, 80-minute cruise between NJ and Delaware can cut miles off a trip along the Atlantic coast. We took the ferry from Cape may around 6:00pm and arrived at Lewes of Delaware. The car can go on the boat. We saw sunset and enjoyed the ride.

Vacation first stop - Wildwood

July 12, 2009
Wildwood beach, it was a hot day and just right for the beach day. Kylie and I stayed at the rest area of the board walk and took a little nap.

Turtle back zoo

July 8, 2009

It was a family night of the Turtle back zoo starting from 5:00pm every Wednesday during the summer time. The weather was gorgeous so we invited Carol's family and drove to see animals.

Wow, when was the last time we were here? Remember the prairie dog living area? It was still fun to see their moving from inside to outside. Rachel found a new spot to see closely the prairie dogs by standing on the back of daddy. Some were busy eating while some were sun bathing with tummy up. The biggest attraction to kids was birds flying area inside a big net. We bought two food stick for kids to feed birds. These birds were not afraid of people but they scared Kylie.

Camden Aquarium

July 8, 2009

We decided to see the ocean lives so we drove 2 hours o Camden Aquarium. It was a little bit late when we arrived but we still had enough time to visit the entire aquarium. It was the first long drive for Kylie. She seemed to be able to handle it very well.

We haven't been there for a long time and it did change a lot from the outside area. The parking lot seemed to be new. We didn't have time to visit the outdoor plant garden. Kids were very upset. Kylie was used to watching the home fish tank. Amazingly, she loved to see the big fish tank. To get to a point that she got tired and fell asleep.

The big hippo tank was new. It was fun to watch this animal swimming back and forth.

Hi, I am Ms. Tiny Kylie, I will be your mini teacher today.

Mm, let me see what's on today's menu....

Hiking to see the Buttermilk Falls

July 4th afternoon, Doreen invited us to hike to see the Buttermilk Falls near her house. We arrived at her house around 3 and ate some snack. Then we began the 2 hours hiking. The hiking route was beginning with a foot long grass road. Due to frequent raining weather, many places were wet and need to be passed carefully. Kylie joined us for this hiking with hiding in a special pouch. It doesn't seem to be comfortable for babies but it is easy for adults who want to have an outdoor fun. The hiking was fun and we went to Doreen's house for BBQ.

Play time

I was going to take picture of Kylie but everyone wanted to be in with her. Spencer likes to put Kylie on his stomach either face down or up. However, Kylie doesn't seem to be enjoying it that much yet. She likes to be entertained by talking and singing to her. Rachel always says that she wants to squeeze Kylie because she is so cute. Rachel likes to see Kylie a--m when I nurse her. Kylie is like a doll and everybody wants to play with her.

I am shy ....

Company picnic

Wow, it was a gorgeous day for a company picnic on June 30. I brought kids to join the outdoor picnic. Everyone came to see Kylie. Kylie met another baby named Devin who was 4 month older than her. Devin looks like the combination of mom and dad. She is very cute. It was good to be back and see some friends.

Celebrate July 4th

On June 27, 2009, Montiville township held a fair at the Montiville High School field. I took Rachel and Alex to the circus in the afternoon. It is a small circus and most of them are from the same family. Rachel and Alex bought cotton candy.

Late afternoon, a Chinese show started with the Lion Dance. My sister and brother-in-law dressed with ancient clothes to present as King and princess. They looked amazing, didn't they? Rachel presented a Chinese folk dance with another girl named Gloria. It was a fabulous performance.

We didn't stay for the fireworks because of Kylie. The loud sound may scare her.

Trampoline

Spencer bought a trampoline for kids who have been asked for it since last year. Kids are so excited to set it up with some neighbor kids. Michael and Zachary came over to help because they wanted to jump on it. It took them about 2 - 3 hours to complete the setting. It is fun to jump on it but we have to have them follow the rule: 3 kids at a time. Ok, summer is just here and fun has already begun.
